Australia recognises Harmony Week every year, from March 15-21, to celebrate multiculturalism in our community.
The important themes of acceptance, inclusion and respect are captured in the theme of Harmony Week – Everyone Belongs.
This week is a celebration of our rich cultural diversity and a chance for all communities to join together to say ‘Racism. No Way!’.
The V League grand final will be held on Sunday 22 March as an opportunity to gather and to celebrate the many diverse cultures within our soccer community, and also in wider Australian society.
By exploring other cultures we become a stronger and more tolerant society, able to recognise and embrace the benefits that multiculturalism brings to our lives.
As is tradition, part of this day is encouraging more people to participate in sport and enjoy all the amazing foods prepared by the Westnam united Soccer Club.
